How to get involved!
Friends of the Library
You are invited to become a supporter of the library by joining the Friends of the BPL. The purpose of the Friends is to increase public awareness of Library programs and facilities, to assist in bringing funds for special needs beyond the command of the library budget, to encourage gifts, endowments, and bequests, and to serve as a resource to the library staff through volunteer projects.

Board meetings are held at 6:00pm on the third Thursday of the months August, October, February, and April. The annual membership meeting/election of officers is held at 7:00pm on the third Thursday of June.

Foundation of Belleville Public Library
The Foundation of Belleville Public Library recognizes individuals, businesses and organizations whose charitable gifts affirm their belief in the Foundation mission to provide excellence in reading materials, equipment and reading room facilities. Donors are recognized based on their cumulative giving totals.
Excellence for Life is a special tribute to those whose continued generosity through the Foundation has helped build and sustain the Belleville Public Library. The Foundation of Belleville Public Library recognizes donors to the Foundation whose cumulative gift is $500 or more.
The Foundation Wall, located adjacent to the Library's main lobby, recognizes those who have made a difference by leaving a legacy which will benefit the library for years to come.
Reading services and programs benefit thousands of families from throughout Southwest Illinois. Contributions to Foundation of Belleville Public Library will help purchase equipment and assist in funding a wide variety of community education programs.
There are many ways to make a gift that benefits the Belleville Public Library. Contributions can be made with cash, check, or money order. If you prefer to use your credit card, please contact the Foundation at 618.234.0441.
The Foundation of Belleville Public Library is a tax-exempt corporation, pursuant to Section 501 (c) of the Internal Revenue Code. Gifts to the Foundation are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
